With this project, I wanted to experiment with simplicity and advertisement design. Most of the projects I've done so far require just the design label itself or a simple mockup, of which the client attaches to Amazon or their website.

When making a design focused on simplicity, most of the creativity goes into the typography.

The brand name (Tea go!-차고!) was made by modifying a font to look more eye-catching and colourful, without taking too much attention away. The general layout remains the same despite new additional flavours.

Using a white background means the light reflects and the eye focuses on the darker/coloured parts of the label.

Since I've already done quite a few mockups, a new challenge I gave myself was to create a more interactive and animated experience.

I have no previous skills or knowledge of animation, so this was going to be interesting.

The first program that I tried to use was called Blender. It's an incredibly powerful and advanced tool that many people across the digital arts industry use. Predominantly it's used by game designers, 3D artists, video editors and even digital artists. Blender is known as the ultimate replacement to Photoshop, mainly because it's free.

Despite all these amazing privileges and abilities, it's a very complicated program that requires many hours and days to even grasp the basics. Photoshop too is complicated but I have over a decade of experience using it. Even then, I still haven't mastered Photoshop completely.

Realising how much time it would take to learn a program like Blender, I sought reassurance with Photoshop. I was very much aware of Photoshop's 3D and video editing capabilities, but because it wasn't really ever talked about I never showed any interest in it.

A few video tutorials later and I've just made my first animation! It's basic as ever and all it does is rotate on a loop but it's the first small step, and I'm happy I took it.

It would be nice to see how far I can go with this newfound skill I'm developing. This could really open new doors into a multitude of design capabilities that I just can't wait to enter!
